[MythiCalia] on workshops and energy work

*chuckles* grounding is the easy part. And it seems to hold true here, as
elsewhere, that centering is often generally overlooked.

Centering *is* my meditation routine, personally. I find it incredibly
important, far more than grounding. Grounding gives you a place to stand,
centering gives you the legs to stand upon, and the balance to keep yourself
upright.

Centering, at least they way I know it as, causes actual physiological
changes, most notably a relaxation of every skeletal muscle and a sharp
decrease in blood pressure. Of the not so easily witnessed by others, I can
feel chemical changes going on in my brain as I first completely blank my
emotional slate, and then blank my conscious knowledge of the majority of my
body. It is the best way that I have found to handle large stressers in my
life. And because I do this regularly, the small everyday stresses of life
pass me by without alighting. Not that they don't happen, but because of
centering, I know my Self very well and can bring my personal song back into
tune with ease. At the height of the routine, my car could be on fire, but I
would not care.

so yeah, the slight idea I had was not on energy work... not on grounding...
but on the centering that is so slighted and ignored in modern magic /
energy dealings.

/passionate rambling
